Resturants in Northern Cyprus :
There is a variety of restaurants to choose from locally as well as some inexpensive harbour side restaurants in Kyrenia where you can savour the lively atmosphere whilst enjoying your meal. Turkish Cypriot cuisine typically consists of freshly cooked fish dishes, chicken and lamb kebabs, moussaka and traditional Turkish mezze - a selection of hors d'oeurves such as humous, olives and hallumi cheese. There are also chinese and curry restaurants to be found for those who want a change from local cuisine. Some of the hotels also have restaurants but these tend to be more exclusive and therefore more expensive.

Resturant and Bars:
Two of our favourite localresturants are Green Valley & Acmenya. Both have very relaxed and friendly atmosheres. For entertainment during the high season, Green Valley often holds belly dancing evenings which are great fun for all the family and you can even join in if you wish! If you want to travel further afield there is the Veranda on the way into Kyrenia and in Kyrenia itself there is a group of resturnats run by the `five brothers' which offer delightful food with the benefits of a harbour view. Details of the resturants mentioned, and others, can be found in the villa.

About the TRNC:
The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is arguably one the most natural and beautiful parts of the island of Cyprus. The weather is generally good from April right through to October, though it can be cool in the evenings at the beginning and the end of the season.

Self Catering:
If you don't want to eat out every night then the best place to get your groceries is the newly opened Atakara supermarket in Alsancak. It takes approximately 5 minutes to drive into Alsancak and there is a car park at the rear of the supermarket for your convenience. From June through to September it is generally hot enough to sit out on the terrace until late into the evening and this is the ideal opportunity to experience al-fresco dining at its best. Atakara of course is not the only place shop, there are several other supermarkets on the road into Kyrenia where you can purchase your produce.
